Peacepainting in Ethiopia - Addis Ababa

Norway – Ethiopia-summit paves way for increased cooperation and development, Ethiopian and Norwegian business leaders met on the occasion of an official visit to Addis Ababa by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. Peacepainting was one of the organizations that took part in the humanitarian sector of the summit. Peacepainting had the chance to visit the Zoma Contemporary Arts Center (ZCAC), an environmentally conscious art center organizing international art exchanges and focusing on sustainable, innovative, and environmentally conscious art projects. ZCAC is constructed and co-directed by the anthropologist, curator, and writer Meskerem Assegued and the multi-disciplinary artist Elias Sime. Peacepainting met with both Meskerem Assegued and Elias Sime, and discussed the development of future projects with hard of hearing children.
