As part of the implementation of Peacepainting in France, we held two Peacepainting workshops in Caen, France, 23rd and 24th of February 2022. Peacepainting Instructors Ali Badri and Laila Kolostyák have been key in developing this presence in France. Read about part 1 here.
This second workshop was held in Herouville Saint-Clair, Caen with adults. It was organized and carried out in cooperation with a French organization named Maison Locale, led by Samuel Lebas, who has previously been a professional basketball player in the USA. They were very positive towards using Peacepainting’s method in their work with, among other groups, individuals who are currently unemployed.
During our workshop we also had a visit by Samuel Lebas, head of Mission Locale, Mayor Rudolph Thomas and Municipal Council representative Bonne who also has responsibility for French-Norwegian cooperation in Herouville Saint-Clair.
