Expanding Peacepainting Workshops to Red Cross Fellesverket Institutions
We are happy to announce that we have entered into a collaboration with the Norwegian Red Cross. This stems from a shared vision of fostering understanding and building resilient communities. Our teams have come together to organize a series of Peacepainting workshops in various Fellesverket institutions throughout the country, starting with Fellesverket Sandvika, Fellesverket Drammen, Fellesverket Asker, Fellesverket Central/Oslo, Fellesverket Bodø, Fellesverket Tromsø, and Fellesverket Bergen.
Fellesverket, an organization representing Red Cross’s dedication to youth and community, has long been a place for young individuals to gather, engage, and grow. With Peacepainting offered at these centers, the youth will have a safe and creative environment where they can express themselves. While Fellesverket offers the space and community, we bring a scientifically proven method that promotes equality, communication, social interaction and understanding.
More Than Just Painting: The Essence Peacepainting Workshops
As with any Peacepainting workshop, the Peacepainting workshops offered at Fellesverket are about more than just painting. In our workshops, the youth from Fellesverket come together in groups and paint in a context of peace and equality among people and nations.
We don’t teach anyone how to paint. Rather, we give the youth a way to express themselves, using colours as a common platform. As the participants are in groups, they will be able to appreciate that their “voice” and interests are heard and understood by others. This joint effort creates a sense of secure acceptance that is very positive for the youth’s self-esteem. Moreover, these paintings will take part in Peacepainting exhibitions in various parts of the world. The youth can then be empowered by the fact that they are listened to, and able to convey their messages to the world.
By working closely with Red Cross, Fellesverket, we aim to strengthen equality with our innovative method.
