As a regional bank, Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge places heavy emphasis in community development and sustainability. The community in the Northern part of Norway is the largest owner and contributor to SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge. The bank has therefore created “Samfunnsløftet”, (translates to The Society Promise), which will fund projects that develop arenas, innovation, youth and not the least: Northern Norwegian local communities.

Via Samfunnsløftet, Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge will spend several hundred million kroners in the next few years to boost the Northern Norwegian community and the values created there.

As part of this, Samfunnsløftet, Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge sponsored Peacepainting with 300 000 NOK that will be used to train new Peacepainting instructors.
