We are happy to announce that Fiona Bauhofer at Windesheim Honours College, Netherlands is currently doing research on the Peacepainting Method and how it impacts children's personality and resiliency development.

The research draws on a well-known framework in the field of social and emotional skills – the Big Five model, and seeks to study whether Peacepainting workshops contribute to the development of any of these social and emotional skills.

The broad categories of the Big Five are:

  • openness to experience (open-mindedness)

  • conscientiousness (task performance)

  • emotional stability (emotional regulation)

  • extraversion (engaging with others)

  • agreeableness (collaboration)

The research results will be published in June 2021.
